Serbian company Delta Holding announced on the 16th of July that it has achieved revenues of over 30.1 billion RSD (over 255 million EUR) and EBITDA 2.6 billion RSD (over 22 million EUR) in the first six months of 2018. The largest share was realized by Delta Agrar (47%), followed by Delta Distribution (32%).
According to its press release, Delta Holding’s real estate subsidiary, Delta Real Estate, is actively working on new projects in the South East Europe region. The opening of Delta Planet shopping mall in Varna, Bulgaria, is planned for the fourth quarter of 2018, while its Delta Planet shopping center in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina, is set to open in the first quarter of 2018.
In addition, Delta Real Estate is also planning to construct a new Delta Holding business building, Delta Planet shopping mall in Belgrade’s Autkomanda area, as well as a new real estate complex Delta Center in the New Belgrade business district.
Delta Holding’s hotel properties achieved successful results in the first six months of this year. The Crowne Plaza Hotel in Belgrade recorded more than 50,000 overnight stays and a 71.5 percent average turnover. The hotel earned the highest ranking for guest satisfaction among all IHG hotels in Europe and ranked third for customer satisfaction. The average occupancy of the Holiday Inn Belgrade hotel rose from 65 percent to 75 percent in the first six months of 2018. Furthermore, the newly built InterContinental Ljubljana hotel reached the average occupancy of 64 percent and a turnover of 4 million EUR.
In January this year, Delta Holding announced that it will allocate 600 million EUR in new projects during 2018, with the majority of the investments focused on its real estate business. The planned projects included the construction of a new Indigo hotel and retail center in the heart of Belgrade, as well as a new Delta Planet shopping center in the Serbian town Niš.
