CAPITOL PARK SURČIN OPENING IN 2020

Poseidon Group, which currently operates five retail parks in Serbia, announced that it would bring its Capitol Park retail park brand to Belgrade’s municipality Surčin. 

The Group will partner with New Imobilia Develop to build a new Capitol Park project serving the 50,000 residents of Surčin. Construction will start in spring 2020, and the opening is scheduled for autumn. 

The plot of 16,000 sqm is situated in the town center at Vojvođanjska Street.  It benefits from being located next to a densely populated residential zone where a new Lidl supermarket is due to open soon. 

James Gunn, Corporate Affairs Director at Poseidon Group, stated:

“Capitol Park Surčin will be Poseidon’s sixth retail park in Serbia.  It will bring around 100 jobs to the local community in the construction phase and a further 80 upon its opening,”

A HIGH-QUALITY EXPERIENCE FOR FAMILIES

Capitol Park Surčin will include more than 11 units with a total lettable area of over 3,000 sqm It will be the first modern shopping facility in Surčin, as well as the first retail park in the municipality, providing modern family-friendly retail and leisure opportunities. 

The tenant mix will adjust to shopper needs and comprise international and well-known local brands.  

With a significant food hypermarket located next to the retail park, the development will include fashion, sports goods, as well as home furnishings and decorations, to provide visitors with a complete shopping experience.
