NEPI Rockcastle, a leading Central and Eastern European real estate investment group, has donated this month 150,000 EUR to the Red Cross international organization to support efforts to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 epidemic.
The money will be distributed according to current medical needs and will be used to purchase disinfectants and equipment necessary to slow the spread of the virus.
Awareness campaigns on the measures that can be taken to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus will also be supported.
The donated funds will be distributed to several Red Cross branches in Central and Eastern Europe. The money will be invested in essential products such as surgical face masks, soaps, hand cleaners, wipes, and other hygiene products.
A CALL FOR SOLIDARITY ACROSS THE COUNTRY
NEPI Rockcastle is committed to supporting socially responsible initiatives, and over the past year, the group has helped over 80 NGOs, active in various fields such as social support, health, education, and the environment.
Faced with the emerging circumstances, NEPI Rockcastle has approached these NGOs to encourage them to redirect part of the funds towards those who are at the forefront of the fight against the coronavirus.
Some of the organizations have already responded to the initiative and confirmed that in the coming period, they would actively contribute with donations and support to campaigns aimed at combating the COVID-19 virus.
