Stadion shopping center has expanded its home décor offer this April, with the opening of a new store S Dream specialized in mattresses, pillows, beds, and beddings.
The new S Dream opened on the 17th of April on the first floor of the mall, consisting of approximately 70 sqm. The brand is well known for its wide assortment and high-quality sleep products.
S Dream store chain is owned by Serbian company VAPEKS from Čačak. The company has been producing high-quality mattresses according to the latest world trends since 2010.
With the new store opening VAPEKS, today operates eight S Dream stores across Serbia and one showroom in Čačak.
Home Goods Retail Sector Staying Strong
It is no wonder that Stadion Shopping Center has decided to increase its home decor offer, considering that the home goods sector is remaining strong during the pandemic in the region.
The sale of residential properties has increased in Serbia in the past year, as well as the number of refurbishments. As people are spending more time at home, their spending has mainly been focused on home improvements, sports goods, and food.
Although online shopping is on the rise, especially for furniture and home improvement, smaller concept stores within shopping centers still allow customers to get to know the brand better and sample a selection of products.
This is a great example of how the new retail age is pushing shopping centers to change a bit their tenant mix, and how physical retail still has its place in the market.
Stadion Celebrates 8th Anniversary
On the 24-25th of April Stadion Shopping Center has celebrated its 8th-year anniversary, arranging many discounts, games, workshops, and surprises for its visitors at the mall.
Besides the special birthday program at the mall, Stadion Shopping Center arranged a gift giveaway campaign through its Instagram account called “We are celebrating 8 years“. Their Instagram followers were able to compete to win eight prizes provided by tenants Gigatron, H&M, Extra Sports, Games, Yves Rocher, Ars, Vitapur.

Stadion Shopping Center has been operating since 2013 and is located in Belgrade’s highly populated residential area Voždovac. The mall represents a 50 million EUR investment and was the first modern shopping center to be developed in the old part of Belgrade.
Spreading over approximately 75.000 sqm, the mall offers two underground garages with 984 parking spaces and a football stadium on its roof, which what makes this mall unique in the region.
