GALERIA Shopping Mall is one of the best performing modern shopping malls in the region, located 2 km from the city center of Prizren in the Republic of Kosovo. The mall opened in October 2019, and its performance was fascinating from the very beginning.
Location
Prizren is the second-largest city in Kosovo with approximately 200,000 inhabitants. It is known to be one of the oldest cities in Southeast Europe, making it the main tourist attraction in Kosovo.
Architecture
With a GLA area of 25,500 sqm and GBA area near 50,000 sqm, Galeria is one of the biggest shopping malls in the region. The mall consists of four levels, while the underground level is dedicated to parking.
Its architectural approach is astonishing, as it incorporates the culture and heritage of the city. Its arches on the facade reflect bridges of Prizren and its marvelous glass ceiling gives the whole building more than 60% of natural lighting.
Tenant Mix
GALERIA Shopping Mall is fully leased with 120 tenants.
The mall houses the best local and international brand names, including Cineplexx, Burger King, NewYorker, LC Waikiki, Defacto, Timberland, Geox, Guess, Rossmann, Aztech Electronics, Intersport, BoBowling, Area52 Trampoline Park, and many others.
Its tenant mix also incorporates many cafes/restaurants, entertainment spaces, various services, and a supermarket. The tenant mix was carefully planned and selected to fulfill all the needs of everyone in the city and its surroundings.
Sustainability
Having in mind the impact that shopping malls have on the environment, GALERIA Shopping Mall last year invested in solar panels with an annual production capacity of 1.012MW. This project saves more than 33% on electricity expenses for the mall and decreases the CO2 emissions by 535 tons per year.
This has been considered one of the biggest solar projects on a shopping mall in
the region.
