The Capital Plaza, a mixed-use property owned by BIG CEE, has signed a deal with Crowne Plaza Podgorica, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, one of the world’s leading hotel companies.

This will be Montenegro’s first Crowne Plaza hotel!

It will be IHG’s fourth hotel in Montenegro, joining voco Podgorica, Regent Porto Montenegro, and Iberostar Waves Herceg Novi. This will strengthen the hotel chain’s presence in the Montenegrin market, which has three additional properties in the development pipeline.

The new 122-key hotel at The Capital Plaza in Podgorica will be surrounded by regional headquarters of major banks and multinational companies, including Deloitte, PWC, and the World Bank.

In addition to office spaces, The Capital Plaza offers residential, commercial, retail, and dining areas, making it an attractive destination for both locals and visitors. Over the past decade, this mixed-use property has significantly shaped Podgorica’s business district, with its impressive office tower and lifestyle amenities reflecting Montenegro’s rapid development.

The hotel will join IHG’s global network and attract a wide range of guests. It will be supported by IHG’s extensive portfolio and popular IHG One Rewards program, adding further value to The Capital Plaza’s vibrant offerings.
