Football World Cup 2022 will be celebrated with an innovative art exhibition from the 11th to the 26th of November in Stadion Shopping Center, Belgrade.
Stadion Shopping Center in partnership with the Urban Art Association TE8 is hosting from the 11th to the 26th of November an art exhibition called “Street Art Connection FWC Qatar 2022”.
Art on Old Footballs
Visitors will be able to see the works of Serbian, American, French, and Spanish artists who are creating art on old footballs for this exhibition. Breaking down preconceptions about football and different cultures, the show gives the artists the freedom to express their visions about football, Qatar, Serbia, and street art itself.
The exhibition is a symbolic type of support for the Serbian team that will participate in the upcoming World Cup. The choice of old balls to become canvases for art is symbolic that we can transform our old ways, and it is also meant to raise awareness about recycling.
Urban Art Association TE8 stated:
We believe that this is a very important event for the culture of our city because there are rare opportunities to see the works of European and world artists in our country. We are especially grateful to Stadion Shopping Center, which helped us with the realization of the exhibition.
The official opening is scheduled for Friday, November 11, at 7 p.m. at Stadium Shopping Center. See you there!
