Westgate Shopping City, the largest shopping center in Croatia managed by F.O. / Group, is celebrating ten new store openings this September.
The new stores are in line with Westgate’s strategy to update its tenant mix and position itself as a leading shopping center for families. As part of its strategy, the mall has introduced new specialty zones dedicated to interior design, furniture, and children, named Westgate Home and Westgate Kids.
Westgate Shopping City will become the largest shopping center in the European Union after Brexit. In April 2018, the mall changed its ownership structure and is now owned solely by the Austrian company Focus Invest. The management of the shopping center has been appointed to F.O. / Group, which has implemented various changes to the center, including new business zones.
NEW TENANTS IN WESTGATE
The Westgate Home zone was enriched with several new stores: Aledo furniture, Si studio furniture, Italian ceramics retailer Happy House, Intermod furniture, mediSpa and J&I Dream, and Bima.
Furthermore, the existing Mobel Land store was expanded to 8,000 sqm of space.
The Westgate Kids zone was complemented with a new Family Park indoor playground, as well as new stores: Dječji svijet, Babycenter, BabyLand, and Idexe. In addition, the zone also houses a foreign language school Hellen Doron.
Fashion lovers can now enjoy new brands – Varteks, Alma Ras, and Benetton – in the Westgate Fashion zone.
Besides retail, the mall also expanded its Westgate Food&Fun zone with new amenities: Leggiero Loft, Loft Wedding Hall, and Germania Casino.
A FAMILY-ORIENTED SHOPPING MALL
Westgate Shopping City is the largest shopping center in Croatia and the EU, with a retail area of 100,000 sqm. The Center offers a rich tenant mix for families, which includes various retail stores, gastronomy and entertainment offerings.
In addition to world-leading brands such as C&A, PEPCO, New Yorker, dm, Reserved, Mango and H&M, the mall houses the largest bowling alley in Croatia, a 4,000 sqm children’s playground and the only kids’ cinema in the country. It is also the only shopping center that offers a museum and inline skating.
Westgate Shopping City has been operating since 2009 and represents an investment of 270 million EUR, made by Focus Invest GmbH.
