UŠĆE Shopping Center Invites you to UŠĆE EKO FEST 2023

UŠĆE Shopping Center in Belgrade will be hosting on the 16th and 17th of September a special weekend event dedicated to promoting sustainable living.

UŠĆE EKO FEST 23 is a festival that will be promoting eco-friendly products and green workshops, free for all attendees. Its goal is to introduce, promote, and discover new ways to make our community healthier and more sustainable.

This festival is jointly organized by UŠĆE Shopping Center and EventUp, with the support of Banca Intesa and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). It will be held outdoors between the UŠĆE Business Towers in New Belgrade, a green oasis at the rivers’ confluence of old Belgrade, New Belgrade, and Zemun.

The program for UŠĆE EKO FEST 23 is tailored to all generations and includes various green and interactive workshops. From recycling and urban beekeeping to learning about rare plants. The event will be also offering an eco kids daycare, a dedicated relaxation area for yoga and meditation, and lectures by renowned experts in women’s green entrepreneurship, healthy nutrition, and climate change.

In addition to educational content, the festival will feature sales presentations of organic and healthy products, allowing visitors to learn more about their benefits and how to incorporate them into their daily diets and routines.

This festival is of great importance for the local community as it enables personal growth and contributes to the overall common good.

  • 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Urban Beekeeping Workshops for Children with a Visit to UŠĆE Beehives, led by the Belgrade Beekeepers Association and Mad Med Association.
  • 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM: Eco Daycare “Playground” (all-day children’s outdoor event).
  • 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM: Nestle Educational Program on the Importance of Packaging in the Recycling Process.
  • 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM: “Caps to Smiles” Workshop (creating mosaics from bottle caps).
  • 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Culinary Workshop for Children with Zdravka Kulinarka.
  • 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM: Recycling Workshops for Children led by Košnice Dorćol.
  • 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Eco Workshops for Children organized by Mlekara Šabac (fun activity with recyclable packaging Sirko & A la Kajmak; creative drawing workshop in collaboration with National Geographic; “Create the Best Sandwich” competition in collaboration with Young Chefs).
  • 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM: “Caps to Smiles” Workshop (creating mosaics from bottle caps).
  • 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Educational Program for Children and Adults on the Topic of Solar Panels.
  • 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Lecture by Dr. Jovana Mašić on “Food as Medicine.”
  • 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Workshop on Rare and Endangered Plant Species in collaboration with the “Jevremovac” Botanical Garden, Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade.
  • 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Meditation in Motion – Tango Natural (outdoor dance class).
  • 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM: Workshop for Youth “Naturally the Same, Naturally Different” (workshop on the Green Agenda) (UNDP).
  • 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM: “Momčilo’s Botanical Garden,” a workshop on plants and their significance, led by Momčilo Antonijević.
  • 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM: Revita Yoga Class with Bay and the promotion of the “Books to Read with Closed Eyes.”
  • 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM: Lecture on “Climate and Our Change” by Vladimir Đurđević, discussing global warming and its consequences.

Sunday, September 17th

  • 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM: “Fragrant & Useful” Workshop on the Everyday, Safe, and Effective Use of Medicinal Plants and Essential Oils led by Momčilo Antonijević.
  • 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM: “Caps to Smiles” Workshop (creating mosaics from bottle caps).
  • 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM: Kundalini Yoga Class led by Olivera Danilović.
  • 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM: “Birds in the City” Workshop led by Slobodan Knežević, a naturalist who will help you observe urban birds and nature.
