Austrian real estate developer Supernova, which acquired 10 shopping centers from Mercator in Slovenia last year, will invest 10 million EUR to refurbish and re-brand the sites in the next two to three years.
OPTIMIZING THE TENANT MIX
Supernova will leverage its experience in shopping center development and management, as well as its leasing and marketing experience, to meet its tenants’ and shoppers’ needs.
Mercator supermarket will remain the anchor tenant in all of the shopping centers. In the future, the company aims to enhance the centers’ offering with new domestic and international brands in order to provide more options for its visitors. The malls will also be enhanced with new gastronomy tenants and more marketing activities and events will be arranged.
Supernova has a well established presence in Slovenia, where it owns shopping centers in Ljubljana, Kranj, Maribor and Nova Gorica. As a result, the company has an extensive knowledge of the Slovenian market, including local consumer needs and opportunities regarding the expansion of existing and new tenants.
