PEPCO Opening its First Stores in Bulgaria

PEPCO, Polish discount clothing and household chain, will be opening on the 15th of March its first two stores in Bulgaria. Both stores are located in the town Plovdiv, one within Markovo Tepe Mall and the other on no.131 Aleksander Stamboliiski Street.

The opening is part of the chain’s upcoming expansion to Bulgaria, which includes 11 new store openings in the first six months of operations.

PEPCO Expansion Plans for Bulgaria

As previously announced, PEPCO has devised a long-term growth strategy for the Bulgarian market and is planning to open more than 60 stores in the country by 2021.

The units will be located in major cities such as Sofia, Burgas, Plovdiv and Stara Zagora, as well as in other cities with a population of more than 10,000 residents.

Through its expansion, PEPCO is expected to create over 500 jobs in Bulgaria by the end of 2021.

PEPCO in South East Europe

In the South East Europe region, PEPCO is currently present in Croatia (34) stores, Romania (218 stores) and Slovenia (22 stores).
