Miniso to Open 30 New Stores in Romania
Miniso entered the Romanian market in autumn last year, opening its first store within Veranda Mall in Bucharest. The company aims to continue its expansion in Romania, both directly and through franchise partnerships.
“Our expansion plan for Romania includes the opening of 10 new stores in Bucharest, and 20 more stores in other cities by 2020. In March, we will open our sixth store in Romania within Promenada Mall. We firmly believe that the Miniso brand will continue to gain popularity among consumers and increase its market share, “ stated Jake Liu, CEO of Miniso Romania.
As part of its expansion strategy, Miniso will be offering franchise opportunities to partners across the country.
“We are confident that our franchise offer will accelerate our nationwide expansion”, stated Mr Liu.
The company forecasts successful business results in Romania, estimating a turnover of nearly 1.5 million EUR and a total of 400 customers served every day in the first year of operation.
Established in Japan in 2013, Miniso today operates more than 3,500 stores in over 85 countries worldwide. Since 2017, the brand has been present in Europe with stores in Germany, Poland, Serbia, Spain, Greece, Estonia and Ukraine, and is recognized for its affordable prices, quality, utility and design of marketed products.
The company’s long term growth plan is to expand its retail network to a total of 6,000 locations by 2020.
