KIK, Textilien und Non-Food GmbH (KIK), German’s largest discount fashion and home goods chain, celebrated the opening of its remodeled store within Westgate Shopping City in Zaprešić, Croatia, with special discounts for visitors on the 1st-2nd of March.
KIK entered the Croatian market in 2001 and today operates more than 70 stores in all major cities across the country.
The chain has established itself as a firm favorite among consumers due to its vast product range of women’s, men’s and children’s fashion, home textiles, and accessories offered at extremely affordable prices.
In Croatia, the company’s biggest rivals include the international low-cost fashion and home retailers PEPCO and Mana, as well as the Polish fashion retailer LPP Group.
KIK INTERNATIONAL PRESENCE
Established in 1994, KIK is today positioned as one of the top ten textile suppliers in the German retail sector. The company’s retail network spans across Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Croatia, Holland, Slovenia, Slovakia, Italy and Romania, employing 25,000 people.
KIK is known to expand at a rapid pace, opening approximately 200 new stores each year.
Its retail units range between 450 and 1,000 sqm in size while main locations of interest include shopping malls, city centers, and retail parks in major cities.
Despite growing competition from low-cost fashion retailers, KIK has managed to achieve sustainable growth over the years due to its attractive merchandise mix and excellent customer service.
The chain offers good quality, affordable clothing essentials ranging from shirts, trousers, skirts, and underwear. Besides clothing, which accounts for approximately 70 percent of the assortment, its offering also encompasses stationery, gifts, toys and home textiles, mainly catering to women in the 25 to 55 age group.
